The organising committee is delighted to invite you to the combined Annual Scientific Meeting of the Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand, the Australian and New Zealand Society of Blood Transfusion, and the Australasian Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis, to be held at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre from the 19-22 October 2008. You are invited to participate in relevant and cutting-edge Education, Meet-the-Expert and Plenary Sessions as well as hear the latest developments in research from around Australia and New Zealand. An outstanding International Faculty has been assembled to present timely review in both benign and malignant haematology.

In addition to the scientific program, visitors will be able to explore the beautiful city of Perth and its surrounds in spring weather. Perth is a rapidly developing and vibrant city with numerous restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of the new convention centre. Enjoy a stroll along the river or a walk through King's Park with its magnificent panoramic views. A short trip will bring you to Perth's famous beaches where you can take a swim or relax at a beach front café. If you have a bit more time, why not incorporate a journey to the internationally acclaimed Margaret River wine region. And don't forget the conference dinner on the Tuesday evening when you will have the opportunity to relax or kick up your heels at this gala event.
