Invitation to attend Medicine, Ageing and Nutrition 2007

Medicine Ageing & Nutrition 2007 is the conjoint scientific meeting of the
Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine (ANZSGM)
and the
Internal Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand (IMSANZ),
in association with the
International Academy of Nutrition and Aging (IANA) .
Delegates may attend all or parts of the combined meetings.

A stimulating and interesting program has been planned. Sessions will include plenary sessions with invited overseas speakers, interactive workshops, update sessions, free scientific oral and poster presentations, and breakfast sessions.

The major topics include:

  • evaluating scientific papers
  • dementia for the generalist and the geriatrician
  • gait disorders
  • stroke
  • implantable cardiac devices
  • osteoporosis
  • exercise and ageing
  • cardiac arrhythmias
  • metabolic syndrome
  • under-nutrition in the elderly
  • enteral feeding
  • peri-operative care
  • obesity in the elderly
The Meeting will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre, a purpose-built convention complex with all facilities under one roof and state of the art technical facilities. Located in the heart of the city of Adelaide on the banks of the Torrens River only 15 minutes drive from Adelaide Airport, the venue is close to the commercial and entertainment centre of the city, adjacent to the Adelaide Festival Centre, the Adelaide Casino and parklands. The location offers excellent opportunities to explore the shops and nightlife of Adelaide.
